Alka-Seltzer Heartburn Plus Gas Relief Chews is an over the counter medication used to relieve gas, pressure, bloating and neutralize stomach acid and heartburn.

It is a single product containing 2 medications: calcium carbonate and simethicone.

Calcium carbonate belongs to a group of drugs called antacids. These work by neutralizing stomach acid.

Simethicone belongs to a group of drugs called antigas. These work by helping combine small gas bubbles in the stomach into a larger bubble that can be pass more easily.

This medication comes in a chewable tablet and is chewed every 2 to 4 hours as needed with a full glass of water.

Common side effects of Alka-Seltzer heartburn Relief Chews include belching, upset stomach and nausea.
