Evoxac Overview
Evoxac is a prescription medication used to treat dry mouth in patients with Sjogren's syndrome. In Sjogren's syndrome the immune system attacks the glands that make tears and saliva. It may also affect the joints, lungs, kidneys, blood vessels, digestive organs and nerves. Evoxac belongs to a group of drugs called cholinergic agonists. It works by increasing the amount of saliva in the mouth.
This medication comes in capsule form. It is usually taken 3 times a day.
Common side effects include sweating, nausea, and runny nose.
