It is a single product containing 3 medications: diphenhydramine, phenylephrine, and acetaminophen.
Diphenhydramine belongs to a group of drugs called antihistamines. It works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms. Phenylephrine is in a class of medications called nasal decongestants. It works by reducing swelling of the blood vessels in the nasal passages. Acetaminophen belongs to a group of drugs called analgesics. These work to reduce pain and fever.
This medication comes in powder packets and is dissolved in 8 oz. hot water. It should be sipped while hot and full contents should be consumed within 10-15 minutes.
