Subhakar "Sub" Mutyala, M.D, serves as Associate Director of the Baylor Scott & White Cancer Institute and Associate Professor at Texas A&M College of Medicine in Temple, Texas.
Dr. Mutyala earned his Bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University and his medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine. He completed a general surgery internship at Mercer University in Macon, GA, followed by Radiation Oncology residency at University of Miami at Miami, FL. He pursued further training by completing a brachytherapy fellowship at Harvard Medical School and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA.
Dr. Mutyala serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Radiation Oncology and has served on several ASTRO committees, currently as the State Representative for Texas. Dr. Mutyala has published numerous articles and book chapters on the science and clinical applications of brachytherapy and is an annual faculty member of the Harvard Brachytherapy Review.
