The occasional nighttime snack is nothing to worry about, but nighttime binge eating can come with a host of problems. Eating too late at night can potentially offset the body’s metabolic cycles, leading to increased weight gain. Obesity has been linked to an increased risk of sleep disorders such as RLS, and poor sleep quality can, in turn, lead to further weight gain.
