Keep Calm and Meditate On
Some research has found that meditation may have a positive effect on certain conditions, such as high blood pressure, irritable bowel syndrome and ulcerative colitis symptoms, and even heart disease risk. Meditation may also help ease anxiety, depression and insomnia. This is because its practice can increase serotonin levels. Low serotonin levels have been linked to headaches, depression and insomnia. Meditation may also lower levels of blood lactate, which can help reduce anxiety attacks.
