Things You Can Do Today to Feel Better Tomorrow
Sleep is vital to a healthy life. The Division Of Medicine at Harvard Medical School found that sleep plays a critical role in immune function, metabolism, memory, learning and other vital functions. The average adult needs between 7.5 and 9 hours of sleep a night to function at full potential. Having good sleep hygiene is especially important for people with chronic conditions like multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis and lupus, as these conditions tend to cause a lot of fatigue. Finding something relaxing to do before going to bed, setting a regular bedtime, avoiding eating close to bedtime, and refraining from exercise within two hours of bedtime are all habits of good sleep hygiene.
