Yoga for Mental Health
Yoga can be a helpful addition to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) treatment, according to Harvard Health. Practicing yoga can be an alternative to traditional psychotherapy in helping patients with PTSD relieve stress. A study by the Trauma Center of the Justice Resource Institute found that PTSD patients who practiced yoga had decreased dissociative (multiple personality) symptoms and increased tension reduction.
