Impoyz Overview
Impoyz is a prescription medication used to treat adults with moderate to severe plaque psoriasis.
Impoyz belongs to a group of drugs called corticosteroids which play a roll in immune function and inflammation, however, the exact way Impoyz works for plaque psoriasis is unknown.
This medication comes in cream form and is applied topically 2 times a day.
The most common side effect is discoloration where the cream is applied.

Side Effects of Impoyz

Common side effects of Impoyz include the following:
- discoloration or change of color at the application site
- rash
- red lines or patterns on the skin
- thinning of skin at the application site

No drug interactions have been determined by the manufacturer. However, you should tell your doctor about all the medicines you take including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Not all drug interactions are known or reported and new drug interactions are continually being reported.
Impoyz Precautions
Serious side effects have been reported with Impoyz including the following:
- corticosteroid deficiency. Once you stop taking Impoyz, your body’s ability to produce certain steroid hormones may be impaired. Your healthcare provider will monitor you for this.
- exposure to too much steroid. This is called Cushing's syndrome. Your healthcare provider will monitor you for this.
- high blood sugar (hyperglycemia). Your healthcare provider may do tests for this.
- skin reactions or infections at the application site. Tell your healthcare provider if you have any skin reactions or any signs of infections including redness, warmth, tenderness, and swelling.
- allergic reaction. Impoyz may trigger an allergic response. Tell your healthcare provider if you have symptoms of a hypersensitivity reaction including hives, difficulty breathing or swallowing, swelling, rash, and itching.
- effects on growth and weight in children. Impoyz has not been studied to be used on patients under the age 18.
Impoyz Food Interactions
Medications can interact with certain foods. In some cases, this may be harmful and your doctor may advise you to avoid certain foods. In the case of Impoyz, there are no specific foods that you must exclude from your diet when receiving this medication.
Inform MD
Before taking Impoyz, tell your doctor about all of your medical conditions. Especially tell your doctor if you:
- are allergic to Impoyz or to any of its ingredients
- have thinning of the skin at the site to be treated
- have a skin infection
- have liver problems
- have an immune system or adrenal gland issues
- have diabetes
- are planning to have surgery
- are pregnant or plan to become pregnant
- are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed

Impoyz and Pregnancy
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
No well-controlled studies have been done in humans. In animal studies, pregnant animals were given this medication and had some babies born with problems when the medication was given under the skin. Since Impoyz is given topically, there is minimal medication in the body. Therefore, this medication may be used if the potential benefits to the mother outweigh the potential risks to the unborn child.
Impoyz and Lactation
Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed.
It is not known if Impoyz crosses into human milk. Because many medications can cross into human milk and because of the possibility for serious adverse reactions in nursing infants with use of this medication, a choice should be made whether to stop nursing or stop the use of this medication. Your doctor and you will decide if the benefits outweigh the risk of using Impoyz.
Impoyz Usage
- Use Impoyz Cream exactly as your doctor tells you to use it.
- Your doctor should tell you how much Impoyz Cream to use and where to apply it.
- Apply a thin layer of Impoyz Cream to the affected skin areas 2 times each day and rub in gently and completely.
- Use Impoyz Cream for the shortest amount of time needed to treat your plaque psoriasis. Tell your doctor if your skin condition is not getting better after 2 weeks of using Impoyz. Do not use Impoyz Cream for longer than 2 weeks in a row.
- Do not use Impoyz Cream on your face, scalp, underarms (armpits), groin, or areas where your skin may touch or rub together.
- Do not use Impoyz Cream if thinning of the skin (atrophy) is present at the treatment site.
- Do not bandage, cover, or wrap the treated skin area unless your doctor tells you to.
- Wash your hand after you apply Impoyz Cream.
- See your doctor regularly to check your symptoms and side effects while using Impoyz Cream.
Impoyz Dosage
There is no specific dosing for Impoyz, but you should apply a thin layer of the cream twice daily.
Impoyz should not be used for more than 2 weeks in a row.
Impoyz Overdose
If you take too much Impoyz, call your healthcare provider or local Poison Control Center, or seek emergency medical attention right away.
Other Requirements
- Store Impoyz between 68˚F to 77˚F (20˚C to 25˚C).
- Do not freeze Impoyz.
- Throw away any unused Impoyz after 2 weeks.
- Keep Impoyz and all medications out of the reach of children.
